The needs of the Boston Bruins goes beyond the arena. The organization is committed to uniting all fans by celebrating the sport of hockey. It is the team’s goal to create and maintain specific programs that encourage participation in hockey, educate today's youth and support those in need, ultimately making a difference in the local communities. Chameleon DG provides cross-platform creative support for many of these programs, giving the team the necessary marketing collateral to engage with fans and increase brand awareness within the region.

50 YEAR CELEBRATION

The Boston Bruins wanted to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the 1970 Stanley Cup winning team so the marketing team reached out to us to help create a strategic digital campaign that included creative assets for the team’s social platforms, website and environmental signage. Visually, the campaign was designed to be reminiscent of trendy & popular graphics of the 1970’s. Player cards were created for each member of the team that were time released in small groups of 3-4 throughout the week long campaign. The highlights to culminate the campaign, were a series of videos that featured the animated player cards and a video montage of highlights from that 1970 Stanley Cup winning team.

SOCIAL TEMPLATES

We have also been asked to provide a series of animated intros for various community outreach initiatives the team has throughout the course of a season. Featured here is an example of what we produced for “In Boston Bruins History”. Other video intros included individual and group“Game Plan Sales” and “In the Community”.

SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

The Bruins wanted to launch a campaign to honor the team’s dedicated and passionate season ticket holders appropriately named “Strength in Numbers”. The team selected a group of fans and conducted a video/photo shoot where they were asked to share their personal stories as to what makes them unique team supporters. The Bruins supplied all of that content to us to develop a cohesive multi-media campaign that was featured on the video board during in-game presentations and on social platforms.

Other season ticket holder initiatives included a multi-page, bound brochure that highlight all of the benefits and info fans need to purchase season tickets.

BRUINS "CLASSIC" HOLIDAY VIDEO

In 2019 the NHL Winter Classic, an outdoor regular season National Hockey League (NHL) game, was played on January 1, 2019. The game featured the Chicago Blackhawks taking on the Boston Bruins at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana, home of the Fighting Irish. This marked the third appearance in this annual game for the Bruins (2010, 2016) and the first time the NHL hosted an outdoor game outside a team's immediate media market. To celebrate this achievement, the Bruins called on Chameleon DG to create a digital holiday greeting for that season that represented the Winter Classic theme and the team’s participation in the iconic game which has now become a highly anticipated event every NHL season.
