The NHL Winter Classic is an annual regular season outdoor ice hockey game played in the National Hockey League (NHL) on or around New Year's Day, generally in a football or baseball stadium in an area with a resident NHL team. Along with the NHL All-Star Game, the Winter Classic is considered one of the NHL's premier events; with match-ups generally booked to showcase the league's most popular teams and players. The event is often promoted as a return to the sport's outdoor roots, meant to evoke memories of pond hockey and typically garners the league its highest attendance and among its highest television ratings. To date, the Boston Bruins have played in two of these high profile events in 2010 & 2016 respectively.

The 2016 Winter Classic took place on January 1 at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, between the Boston Bruins and rival Montreal Canadiens. Chameleon was once again called on to help the organization with marketing efforts that included: Video Introductions for the Legends Game, Broadcast Commercials and Digital Advertising.

When it came to putting the finishing touches on the 2016 Winter Classic commercials, the Bruins turned to Chameleon. We injected the post production special sauce to these "classic" commercials. Plus working with the Bruins marketing / digital team to enhance the #backoutdoors looks for their digital platforms.
2010 WINTER CLASSIC
FENWAY PARK
The 2010 Winter Classic took place on January 1 at iconic Fenway Park in Boston between the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers. Being the organization’s first trip to this wildly popular event, the Boston Bruins turned to Chameleon DG to create an extensive local marketing campaign that would create awareness and generate fan excitement leading up to New Years Day. All media channels were utilized for advertising opportunities that included: Transit Signage, City Signage, Print & Digital Advertising, TD Garden In-Arena Signage, Zamboni Wrap and Legends Game Roster.
